Growing up along the sensuous bayous of Louisiana, my world was filled with incredible inspirations----from creating with my Creole Meme to learning the traditions and culture from my Muskogee Creek grandfather. Little did I know at the time, that my world on the bayou---which was filled with music, food, family, and traditions----would carry me throughout my years as a professional designer.

I was taught as a child that our ancestors and our traditions would always guide me forward in life; so with that understanding, my world of design began.

For as long as I can remember, I would “collect my treasures” as a child and create with them; little has changed since then.

I have always let the “hunt of the journey” take me into the history of my ancestors…and then let the “spirit of the jewels” bring the collections into being. Each creation is a story of history of those that have gone before us---and this is my way of honoring the past—while bringing their lessons into the present.
